The other night, Geoff had to run an errand and I had to do the night time routine of teeth brushing, pajamas, hard working cream, and storytime. While we were getting into pajamas, Hazel crawls onto her toddler bed and lies down to say, “Hazel sad.”

I said, “Why Hazel?”

She says, “Hazel sad because Hazel want Daddy.”

At that point, I tell her when we are sad, we get a hug from people we love to feel better and asks her if she wants a hug. She gets up and happily claims her hug.
