In Chinese culture, one of the important celebrations is a 30 Day celebration.   This is probably a cultural relic from the times when a lot of infants didn’t survive that long, so a new birth wasn’t celebrated until the 30 day mark. It’s typically food and some gifts, and just a chance to really introduce the baby to the world.  In any case, it’s an important celebration in the Chinese culture, and we celebrated Hazel’s 30 Day last saturday.  (A few days after the the actual 30 day mark).

It was a very nice time, and many thanks to Kim’s mom/Hazel’s grandma for hosting it and doing much of the work.  We really enjoyed our friends and family that were able to join us.  thanks.
